Matsumoto Orthodontics & Periodontics

This project involved a 3,100 square foot interior upfit creation for a visionary doctor. This second-floor unit had only been a cold, dark, shell space so the team was not limited by many existing conditions, only those imposed by the shell building’s utility and structural components. Dr. Kensuke Matsumoto brought to the design team his dream of building a practice with a soothing environment for patients, including children, who are about to undergo stressful procedures. He wanted the space to be simple, clean, with calming blues throughout and a large, curved array of cabinets located behind the dental chairs for easy access by staff.
